Best Brunch Bar

The Bulldog

Northeast – Minneapolis

The Bulldog is the type of place made for the morning after a crazy night (like the one you had at Prohibition, see above). It is the type of bar where you won’t look like an epic douche going in wearing sunglasses and keeping them on, don’t be surprised if you’re not the only one. Upon walking in you’re welcomed by a good amount of natural light, not enough to agitate your already obnoxious hangover but enough to remind you that it won’t last forever. The high ceilings make it feel airy and open while the decor and general vibe scream “come as you are, and fight fire with fire when it comes to hangovers”. If you’re a football lover, this place is also a good place to spend game day as long as you don’t mind a variety of fan bases being represented.

The menu is like a gut-rot busting gut bomb, which sounds extreme, but it actually bodes quite well for those regretting the night before and those looking forward to the day ahead. They have a great menu for any meal but their brunch menu is particularly well balanced and geared towards busting that rumbling hangover plaguing your day. It also has an essence of “stay all day and keep your weekend bender going” to it, hitting you with options for brunch and some special treats (mentioned below) to make you stay beyond brunch.

The bar is pretty much a hop-lover’s heaven with their wide range of micro-brews expertly selected and constantly changing to accommodate the hop connoisseurs that frequent northeast’s brewery scene. They also offer shakes, yes, milk shakes of various delicious flavors and if you’re in the mood they’ll make it an adult beverage with a bite. On top of all that, the service is great and the people are friendly despite the abundance with the same miserable problem as you.

Now if you’re still on the fence with this place I have two more words for you: bottomless mimosas. Two more: you’re welcome.
